I used to not like tilapia or any fish for that matter. When discovering how good it was for you, I decided to make it a few different ways and maybe get lucky.

Fortunately, I found a way that I really liked fish without it tasting too “fish-y”.

If you or somebody in your family is this way too, I recommend trying blackened tilapia or fish tacos!  Don’t worry, if they still aren’t a fan, you can use this parmesan mix on chicken too.

This Parmesan Crusted Tilapia is a wonderful and easy supper to throw together in under 30 minutes.

Remember, here at Living Practically, I like to do things simple.

WHY I LOVE PARMESAN CRUSTED TILAPIA

QUICK SUPPER. One of the great things about tilapia is that you can thaw it quickly and throw it together in under 30 minutes. Try my blackened tilapia or fish tacos for other great ways to make tilapia.

HEALTHY. Fish is full of Omega-3 and is a great lean protein source. Doctors recommend making fish as a regular part of your diet. We try to make it at least every other week, but ideally we should eat fish multiple times a week.

ELEGANT. Parmesan crusted tilapia sounds like something you would get at a fancy restaurant and that is just plain fun to make something that is restaurant worthy, no offense tacos.

PARMESAN CRUSTED TILAPIA INGREDIENTS

TILAPIA FILLETS– I always have some in the freezer to grab for a last minute meal.

GRATED PARMESAN CHEESE– Comparable to a bread crumb, it give the tilapia a nice crunch.

SALT, PEPPER, GARLIC POWDER and PAPRIKA– These compliment each other nicely for a wonderful burst of flavor.

PARSLEY- I use dried parsley, but you could easily substitute with any other dried herb such as oregano, thyme, or even an Italian seasoning blend.

MAKING THE TILAPIA

Thaw the tilapia fillets and rinse with water.

Pat dry with paper towel.

Sprinkle with grated parmesan and seasonings and press firmly to help adhere.

Place on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil or parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Bake at 425 for 20 minutes.

Enjoy with tartar sauce or other sauce of choice.
