Cook sausage in a large skillet or saute in Instant Pot. While meat is cooking, chop bacon and onions into small pieces. Remove sausage and drain grease.
Fry bacon and add onion into the same skillet to sauté for 4-5 minutes.
While they are cooking, chop potatoes, kale and garlic.
Add sausage, bacon, onions, potatoes, kale, seasonings, garlic, salt, and broth into a crockpot. Cook on low for 6-8 hours.
