Chocolate Covered Bananas

Chocolate covered frozen bananas are an easy dessert that is healthy too! They are great to keep in the freezer to grab-and-go or a healthy snack for the kids.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • ½ cup chocolate chips
  • 1 Tbsp. coconut oil

Instructions
 

  • Peel bananas and cut into halves or thirds. Place on a baking sheet lined with wax or parchment paper.
  • Melt chocolate chips and coconut oil in the microwave in 30 second increments. Stir between each session until melted, between 1-2 minutes.
  • Dunk banana or spoon chocolate over bananas. You can cover the whole banana, half, a third, really whatever you want! Place back on paper. Sprinkle with any extra toppings, such as coconut, chopped peanuts, or pretzel pieces. Stick in freezer for 1-2 hours.
  • Enjoy this healthy frozen treat or thaw for a few minutes.
