If you haven’t tried making healthy peanut butter oat balls you are SERIOUSLY missing out. They have been popular for awhile now, but it is not too late to hop on the bandwagon.

These little pieces of heaven on earth go by many different names, such as oat balls, energy bites, protein balls, energy balls, and the list goes on. The name really doesn’t matter, I have tried TONS of recipes and have yet to have one that hasn’t been good.

Have you ever searched your cabinets for the perfect treat that would satisfy your sweet tooth but yet not be full of sugar?

I love swapping these out for a cookie when you need just a little something sweet. Keep them in the freezer and just pull out when you or your whole family need a little sweet treat.

I ALWAYS double the recipe because they NEVER last long around our house. These PB & Jelly bites are another popular staple in our house.

            • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

HOW TO MAKE PEANUT BUTTER OAT BALLS

              1. Combine oatmeal, peanut butter, chocolate chips, and salt in a large bowl.

              2. Add vanilla, peanut butter, and honey. Mix well.

              3. Refrigerate mixture for 30 minutes.

              4. Roll into balls the size of your choice.

              5. Store in a container in the fridge or freezer.

Rolling the balls is always a little difficult, but I mastered it! I took a small pile of the mixture after refrigerating it and squeezed it tight in my hand. Warming it up a little allows the honey to be more sticky. Letting it set in the freezer just speeds up the process, and holds it together!
