Making your own salad dressings sounds like a lot of work, but most can be made in under 5 minutes. I have found homemade dressings have more flavor, are cheaper, and healthier too! This Asian Vinaigrette and our Cilantro Lime Dressing are crowd favorites.

This Asian Salad Dressing comes together with items you already have in your pantry, so no need to make a trip to the store.

INGREDIENTS IN ASIAN SALAD DRESSING

SOY SAUCE– Replace with tamari, or coconut aminos if needed.

RICE VINEGAR– I have used both seasoned and non, both work fine.

SESAME OIL– You can use toasted sesame oil if you have that instead.

HONEY– Substitute maple syrup if you want to make vegan.

FRESH GINGER– You can also substitute powder if you don’t have any fresh. I like to keep some ginger roots in the freezer and pull out when needed.

All of these flavors work together to give it a tangy Asian flavor that is great for salads, coleslaws, and even drizzled on vegetables!

STORING THE ASIAN DRESSING

Add all ingredients into a mason jar or other glass container with a lid. Shake it up and enjoy!

If you have leftovers, store sealed in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

HOW TO USE ASIAN SALAD DRESSING

SALAD– Obviously, a salad dressing is good on salads. Think outside the box though and try it on any type of salad, not just Asian flavored ones.

COLESLAW– This is a great main or side dish to meal prep for your week. I recommend putting the dressing on just a few minutes and up to 30 minutes before eating, otherwise the coleslaw will get soggy.

PASTA SALAD– Another great main or side dish to meal prep. Cook up some pasta, throw in some chopped veggies, toss with this Asian vinaigrette and toss with some fresh cilantro if you have any. Who said pasta salads were boring?

VEGGIES– This Asian dressing compliments vegetables perfectly, whether they are in a raw vegetable salad, steamed broccoli, or roasted Brussel sprouts, you really can’t go wrong.

STIR FRY– When making your next Asian dish or stir fry, grab this dressing out of the fridge and drizzle generously in your pan. Give it a few minutes for the flavors to meld together and enjoy!
